What to do when psychogenic tremors happen?

Mental Health is a big part of the community health in which we always dedicate to providing awareness and support. This year on World Mental Health Day, let’s talk about Psychogenic Tremors.

Psychogenic tremors happen when your body is subjected to stress. Your muscles become primed to act, leading to a trembling sensation, twitching, or shaking. This explains why you were shaking uncontrollably before your presentation, while feeling angry, and right after being shocked. Although psychogenic tremors are an unexpected event, we can faster the recovery process. 

Once you are at the mode of fight or flight, try those methods to bring yourself to peace:

⭐ Trauma Release Exercises (TRE). A simple set of exercises to help reset the reflexes and habits in the central nervous system.

⭐ Practice Qi Gong. Gentle shaking is a way of transforming stress into vital energy. Check out Lee Holden Qi Gong on YouTube.

⭐ Meditation. Excel meditation breathing. Inhale slowly and take a big exhale.
